It’s release day, but something else is happening and I can’t believe it.

I hope your summer is going well because mine completely changed my plans.

I visited my parents in Italy and spent a month with them. Before leaving, I sent out all my ARCs and took a break from social media, scheduling content for an entire month so I could spend some quality time with my daughter. I was so excited for both the trip and my return, which fell just a couple of days before the release of 13 Days in My New House. It has been amazing reading your reviews and seeing how no one saw that ending coming. Your reactions brought me immense joy, and knowing how much you wanted more of Rhea and Paul’s world planted a seed I didn't expect.

Before leaving, I had started writing a different story. I had a title and pretty much everything outlined, but that wasn't the story that kept evolving in my head. During my vacation, I found myself thinking far too much about Paul and Rhea and their crazy 13 days. It honestly feels like I know these people personally. Sometimes I just want to get in the car, drive to Connecticut, and look for a secluded house in the woods because they don’t feel fictional to me at all.
So, what happened in Italy?
Every day, a new story started playing in my mind, first at night, then while sitting on the beach. Now that I’m back, it’s all I can think about. I promised myself I wouldn't write another series after Luna’s Diaries, or any spin-offs, or anything tied to previous books. But how can I ignore a story that is already living in my head and screaming to be told?
I’m not ready to let go of Paul and Rhea. Against my original plans and better judgment, I’m going to write another story set in this world. It’s going to be another standalone, and you will see Rhea and Paul again. As for who the main character will be, I’m not saying just yet! Once I start writing, I’ll share another post and tell you all about it.
Once summer is over and school starts, that’s when I’ll dive into this new project. Right now, I need to focus on my daughter. In two weeks, she will be participating in National American Miss. She was the first runner-up for New York last year, and she is so excited to go back.
Because of all this, I'm putting my other planned story on hold. I can’t wait to dive into this world again, and since the plot is already so clear in my head, I think I’ll finish it in just one or two months.
If you want to follow my daily writing progress, I post updates on Instagram and TikTok. If you're on my mailing list, I’ll email you all the details as soon as I have them. You can also just send me an email or a DM on social media, and I’ll add you to the list for this project now.
Thank you so much for all the pre-orders and for ordering signed copies.
Happy release day!
